After a couple of minutes looking for my cab driver, i realised that since my flight was delayed there taxi driver must have arrived at the airport earlier and then left when I didn't show up. hmmmmm,,,,,,, I must admit I really was not expecting this one, so I sat down with my luggage and composed my thoughts.
I decide to go to those taxi counters, and tell them my story. They were very helpful and allowed me to use their computers in order for me to be able to look at my hotel reservation and get directions from there, I found my reservation, 5 minutes later I was in a taxi on my way to the hotel.
There are no words that could be use to describe my thoughts as I was heading towards my hotel but I felt like I was finally close to my goal.
We arrive at the hotel and I don't have a reservation and the hotel was fully booked. OMG!!! Is the only thing that came to my head, what now??? I decided this wasn't going to get me down, calmed myself down and told myself everything is going to work out.
After a couple of minutes, with help from the staff we realised that I was booked into a hotel that was 5 minutes away that coincidentally had the same name.
I finally arrive at the right place, I check in, go to my room and then just jumped on the bed, now i was here...... its weird in life when we finally obtain a goal that we've focused so much energy on, we don't get as excited as we thought we'd be, I think in my case at least the reason for this is that while im on the way to achieving my goals, I am so focused on the end part and have imagined so many times obtaining the goal that by the time I reach it, I need another goal...... don't get me wrong i love this fact about myself.
By the time I arrived at the hotel, it was starting to get dark, I thought to myself, what a perfect time to go Xplore a new city. So I put my favourite trainers on, grabbed my little backpack and went to Xplore. I decided to go for a walk instead of using the taxi.
First night in Bangkok was very uneventful, I went for a walk, ate some food and found a really nice place for a cold one. As uneventful as my night was, I really did enjoy it. Bangkok has this atmosphere I have never felt before, it still has the old school Asian style cities I had always seen in movies when I was growing up but at the same time it is a growing city which is being modernised at a fast pace, old and new literately converge infront of you.
After a couple of cold ones, I find my way back to the hotel and just pass out........

Xploreasia is an organisation that was founded by an American guy in Thailand in order to prepare us to become fully accredited Tesol Instructors. We spend about a month in a small city south of Bangkok by the name of Hua-Hin. during this month you get to meet other people who you are going to become teachers as well.

After finishing everything with the representative from Xploreasia, I had to check out from the hotel and then head on my way to my home for the next month. I went to check-out of the hotel but for some unknown reason my bank card would not work. I have never felt more fear and pressure in my life, but fortunately I worked everything out. I Had to call my Bank all the way in South Africa as I had not told them I was travelling, so when they noticed my account active in Dubai and then Thailand, they blocked my account as they thought I was a victim of online fraud. After a couple of heated calls to my bank, everything was sorted out and I was able to check-out from the hotel and then get on the taxi..... Next Stop..... Hua-Hin!!!
